The more I use Fireworks the more it just seems like its a lower version of Photoshop
What I learned in this chapter is how to use guide and rulers, make copies of shapes, Repeated steps in the History panel, applied masking, added a filter called bevel to make the candy is 3-d than flat, and saved styles for other projects
Is there a mirror tool on Fireworks?

There is indeed a mirror tool in Fireworks – go to Modify > Transform > and choose Flip Horizontal or Flip Vertical.
Dont look at FW as a “lower end” tool – on the contrary, it’s quite powerful. The intention of FW was not to be the digital darkroom / print maven’s tool, but rather more of a vector artwork / typography tool.
